Alfa Romeo turns 150 and launches the new Giulia
June 24th 2015 marks the history of Alfa Romeo which celebrated its 150th anniversary by inaugurating its own historical museum in Arese "The Time Machine" and presenting the "new Giulia" to the world.
100% Italian Manufacturing and with a new logo that retains the legendary styles, the Giulia 2015 doesn’t hide sports performance that will allow it to compete with the German BMW and Mercedes.
The new Alfa Romeo model challenges the competition presenting a rear-wheel drive, a twin-turbo V6 aluminum engine produced in partnership with Ferrari that allows it to reach 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, a Torque Vectoring technology and an innovative Integrated Brake System.
And let’s highlight the Active Aero front splitter whose geometry is modified by an actuator in order to improve downforce and aerodynamics.
The driver is at the center of the vehicle: the pleasure of driving is optimized by a wheel containing all necessary commands and by the Chassis Domain Control, a "brain" giving each electronic component a defined role. Finally, together with the Dynamic and Neutral mode the driver can set the Advanced Efficient (energy saving) and the Racing ones, in order to take advantage of all the performance of this luxury sports car.
With the new Giulia, in production from the end of 2015, Alfa Romeo relaunches its brand and has the goal of reaching 400,000 global sales in 2018.

Tesla has finally taken the wraps off its Powerwall Tesla Home Battery, an innovative and powerful "domestic lithium battery", able of powering an entire apartment independently without polluting.
Powerwall can accumulate clean energy during the day to be reused at night, when the cost of electricity supplied by distributors are higher or in case of blackouts. An intelligent energy management and consumption, also possible remotely, in order to better optimize the activity.
More than a meter high, 86 cm wide and almost 20 cm thick for a total weight of about 100 pounds, Powerwall will be available with a capacity of 7kWh for $ 3,000 and 10 kWh for $ 3,500. If more energy is needed, these batteries can also work together and special 100kWh versions for companies and distributors are expected. Their commercialization will begin this summer with the brand-new Tesla Energy.
From automotive to home automation, Tesla wants to meet the World energy needs, revolutionizing the way energy is used and eliminating CO2 emissions.

Parse arrives in the world of the Internet of Things and embedded devices!
Parse, the Facebook Inc. mobile platform for those aiming at developing “apps” without managing more technical aspects (databases, performances, scaling), can now be used to build applications for connected devices through the Internet of Things technology.
The Software Development Kit offered by Parse has been fine-tuned to work in constrained hardware environments, like Arduino and Embedded C.
The connection of more hardware devices with the cloud, “from wearables that help you sleep better to insulin trackers that aid people living with diabetes”, - according to Parse founder James Yu - has "the potential to change the world for the better".
