CAN Bootloader for Microchip dsPIC 30F6014A/30F4012

Objectives

Implementation of a software for dsPIC microcontrollers, with PC interface, used to upload firmware through CAN BUS.

Solutions

The bootloader allows to upload your custom software in the dsPIC microprocessor using CAN network and dedicated hardware.

 

It includes a firmware part, to be uploaded in the microprocessor, and a PC software interface. The firmware is resident in the non-volatile MP memory: at startup, it either automatically runs the software, or, if receiving a message from the PC interface, uploads the software sent by the latter.

 

The CAN bootloader is currently available for the dsPIC 30F6014A and dsPIC 30F4012 microprocessors, and for Lawicel CANUSB® CAN interface. Extensions to different microprocessors and/or different CAN interfaces are available on request.
